Standardization of Post-Harvest Management Techniques for Ixora (Ixora spp.)

The objective of this experiment was to optimize the post-harvest handling techniques for four Ixora genotypes grown loose flower purpose. laid out in Factorial Completely Randomised Design (FCRD) with namely viz., Red (Ixora casei-G1), Pink (I. chinensis-G2), Orange coccinea-G3) and Yellow chinensis-G4) six treatments replicated three times. Observations were made on floral quality criteria as well physiological characters linked quality. results revealed that among genotypes, casei-G1) proved superior respect parameters followed by chinensis-G2). Among treatments, treating buds 4% boric acid storage under refrigeration @ 50C recorded all freshness index, opening colour retention shelf life moisture content, relative water content loss weight.
